RE has covered Inner City Blues,War(SONG),OOH Baby,Baby...there was a cd floatin round in the early 90s,got a good review...then POOF;Gone...more legal disputes?
This is news to me. Inner City Blues? Wow, I'd love to hear a Rare Earth version of that song, my favourite from the What's Going On album. That album was so advanced for it's time, it took me a long while to appreciate it. There was a Marvin Gaye tribute album released on Motown a while back and his daughter, Nona, did a cover of this song which is just superb. I'd love to hear a Rare Earth version. Also I'm sure a Rare Earth version of Edwin Starr's War would be well worth a listen.
These must have been post Motown recordings (Different World period maybe?) as Ray suggested there's little left in the Motown vaults?
The Motown/Universal vaults contain a lot of Rare Earth unissued material,

I take this answer as different versions of what has already been released.
Be in no doubt (documented fact) that there is a treasure trove down in them there vaults just waiting for our ears. What are the chances we will hear them? Well the way things are right now they dont seem too bothered.
Regarding the tracks suggested by Rich, I would be surprised if these exist, I cant see it although I would love to be proved wrong.
