There was recently a documentary on british tv and the subject was Dino Fekaris. Although the bulk of the show was about the Gloria Gaynor record " i will survive". Some of the show focused on the Generation film of which Rare Earth performed the title song, part of the track played along with shots of the record.
Peter, It was us here at Rare Earth World that provided the scan of the Generation 45 after the BBC contacted us asking to borrow the record, you would'nt know this as they did not bother to mention us in the credits.

Richard.
Now there's an album I'd love to have a transfer of from vinyl to cd!
I am fairly new to the site, and I can't believe how much detail some of you folks know about Rare Earth. It's very flattering as well as embarrasing because I was there and don't remember some of the info that you all bring to light. I really enjoy reading it all. Thank You for your continued interest. I'll try to help out with questions but I won't swear to the validity of my own account of the events. Hope you understand. Peter

Peter,
Some us just love Rare Earth I think I speak for all of us here in saying we're grateful to have you here and we hope you come back as often as you like...time permitting of course.
No need to be embarassed about remembering. The 1969-74 era of Rare Earth must've been one heck of a rollercoaster ride. It's just nice to have your input.
THANKS FOR YOUR COMMENTS TO THE FORUM..THE GROUP FROM 1969-74 WAS AT THE TOP OF THE GAME...RARE EARTH WAS A HOUSEHOLD NAME AT THE TIME AND TO SEE YOU IN CONCERT IN MY YOUTH WAS A TREAT..YOU ARE OUR HEROES AND I KNOW THAT YOU HAVE TO BE BLOWN AWAY BY ALL THE THE ATTENTION THAT YOU AND THE BAND STILL GET AFTER 30 YEARS..
I'm pretty sure that all of the members past and present are very humbled by the ongoing support for Rare Earth. It was an experience that I am truly thankful for. It was full of joy and pain. It was thrilling and scary at the same time. Thank all of you for the ride....... Peter
My wife thinks im crazy as I watched Clockwork Orange just to see the Get Ready album cover. I blame JP2 for bringing the subject up! She thinks we are all nuts!
I went to the cinema to see the film "Three Kings" staring George Clooney, not because I am a great war movie fan, or a particular fan of Mr.Clooney but simply because "Celebrate" was the title song, I even bought the film when it came out on video.
We do these things from time to time, its just somthing about this band.
