I got the news this morning from Ed Wolfrum that Babbitt died. A true musical legend passes. I will miss him as so many of us will that were touched by this bigger than life guy.

My condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and fellow musicians.

I'll can imagine he's jamming with his fellow Funk Brothers now. cry

How many stories we could tell about Babbitt? The guy was definitely one of a kind. Think how far back we all go.

Jon Lord and now Bob in the space of a few hours. Condolences to Bob's family and friends, particularly Ray, who I know was so close to him.

My deepest condolences to Bob's family.

Bob shared his musical skills with the world, for that I am thankful.

My wife and I  had the pleasure of meeting Bob after a Funk Brother's show in Milwaukee. Our impression was, Big Guy with a Big Heart.

Bob, may you rest in peace, and bring the funk to the after-life.
