When Peter Rivera was out in Round Lake Beach, playing at Beach Fest recently, he offered me a pre-release of his live DVD. Peter, along with Joe Brasch on guitar and Danny McCollium on keys, perform re-worked versions of some Rare Earth classics. Even for me, there were a few surprises, but no worries, 'cause it's all good. The DVD was filmed, meaning video and audio in Hi-Def.
I set my entertainment system to play the DVD, made sure the volume was hot and BAM!!! I had Peter Rivera, Unplugged pumping a sequence of some familiar funky tunes into my family room, and throughout the house.
I hear Peter wrapped up a final version of the DVD and it will be available on his website soon. Hopefully it will be coming to a screen near you soon, like one connected to a Hi-Def DVD player.
