Just checking in. I pulled out the 'Band Together' album, which I bought as soon as it was released many, many years ago. It is playing here in our house this morning. I still enjoy this record a lot. I think it demonstrates a band who was able to change with the times. I listen to all sorts of music, all styles, etc. I come back to this record often. A solid effort from a band who gave us many great albums and memories..........A.M
I remember the excitement of getting my hands on that LP for the first time Anthony. The exitement came from seeing the Mk III line-up playing together again.
I love the album and yes it does show that the band were moving with the times. Love Do Me Right and Dreamer, two great tunes. Grand Slam was not as impressive but Band Together is the best since Willie Remembers.
Thanx for the replies guys!!!!!! It is sad how many people either forgot, or never even heard 'Band Together'. Yet Lady GaGa thrives on the current music scene with massive success. How can anyone even make any sense of that? I suppose the music listeners of today have lower expectations, and they don't care about quality. The 60s and 70s, as we know, were a time of wonderful music. Those days will always remain burned in my soul. I remember the good things...as we all should...life on earth is indeed brief...but we are all moving to the next level when the time arrives...keep the faith, and BELIEVE!
