A few years ago I set my video to record a few programmes while I was out of town for a few days just after Christmas. When I returned, I didn't get around to watching them until a couple of months later. Having watched a couple of soaps back to back, I dozed off and awoke a couple of hours later to the weather forecast. Wow, there was a weather warning that we were due some serious snowfall on the following afternoon. Tired out, I unplugged the TV and dragged myself off to bed. I went into work next day and broke the news that we might be sent home early. Nobody had heard of the snow forecast and although it was cold for March, even I could see that a sudden burst of Winter weather seemed highly unlikely. I insisted that six inches of snow was on its way by rush hour that evening. The news spread fast. Naturally it never happened and it wasn't till I got home to watch another taped programme and saw the recorded weather forecast, that the penny dropped. Let's just say I kept a very low profile over the next few days!!! I should have been born blonde lol

LOL, UK Dave, too funny, and I'm sure that could have been me warning co-workers. Guess that is yet another good thing about living in Chicago - we have a saying here, and it often carries some truth;

"If you don't like the forecast, just wait 5 minutes." I'm sure the fellas in Rare Earth can attest and back me up on both the saying and the truthfulness.

Peace and hopefully no March snow-storms,

Chicago Tommy

UK Dave, LOL!

Al From Canada, on the contrary, make the best of it.

I actually had a one-sided snowball fight yesterday. You see, I was driving home with my wife at my side. Along our route, I stopped off and visited my Dad's grave site. After saying a couple of prayers, I gathered some cold snow together. It was 15 degrees after all, and lobbed it towards the grave. Not out of disrespect, but love. He and I used to get into brief snowball fights getting from the car to the house.

Send the snow this way, anytime, just let the weatherman know.

Peace,

Tommy

 Hi Tommy,

That's a nice heart-warming story. I know how you feel.

When I stop to visit my stepfather's grave site, I always take some iced tea with me and pour it on the ground. I do this because his favorite thing to drink was iced tea.
