I was so sorry to hear on Nick Ashford's passing. I never met him personally but through his songs I felt close. Such a great legacy to leave are the songs that everyone knows and loves. I can't imagine how many people preformmed them. I know I did on a couple of albums. The lyrics and melodies were always top rate. Now it's time for him to compose for a new audience. Lucky Them. NICK would just wander around around NY;1 day we just walked and talk;GREAT guy;RE came up once......I was like how did RE wind up on MOTOWN?He was like....I remember them,whats the problem w/ them being on MOTOWN?Gracious man,if u didnt meet him,youre just poorer;So cool,charmin,just a regular guy.Hope VALERIE is OK;Great songs.
