Brass Monkey

I see plenty of posts about Impact of Brass and they sound like they were a great band. I noticed that there was also a band called Brass Monkey signed to Rare Earth. It appears that their work was mainly covers of previous songs. Does anyone know if there was a link or similarity between these two bands?

LOL. Don't tell me, the lead guitarists were Johny Winter and Snowy White, Edgar Winter featured on keyboards, Eugene Frost on drums

 That could be a very cool (pardon the pun) band. Who would play bass? biggrin
