For the most part, it looks like the band is no longer. They've taken some hits this past year with the death of bassist, Dennis Noda and lately, the diagnosis of Alzheimers to Jerry Corbetta. Pete has been busy developing his new unplugged trio, which seems to show a lot of promise.

Ralph,

So sad.  I had not heard that news about Jerry.  I feel fortunate that I saw them perform many times and they never let me down.  All the best to Jerry and his family.

Stuart

Stuart,
I lost my father to Alzeimers, so my heart goes out to Jerry, who is one hell of a nice guy. I understand he is now living with his sister in Colorado.

Oh no Ralph, say it isn't so! no That's terrible news about Jerry. I met (and the rest of the guys  too) Jerry at the CRAS show in Clear Lake, IA in 2008. A down to earth bunch of guys and total class! Jerry, bless his heart, grabbed a copy of their cd & had the guys sign it and then gave it to me. Blew me away! He was amazed I drove from eastern Iowa up to the Minnesota border just for a concert. He appreciated the support. It was my pleasure. I love road trips anyhow. I had a wonderful time too. smile

The clips I've seen of the unplugged trio...if I had the cash, I'd book Pete and company for a summer show on my deck in the backyard...and we'd have a cookout too.

Hey there: I thought I'd clear up the news about Jerry Corbetta. I haven't spoke to him in a while. He was diagnosed with Front Lobe Dementia. He is doing good in Denver as far as I know. The All Stars are in pause mode. Mike is trying to develop another All Star group I'm told. We had 17 years together and I'm excited about new adventures. We had a great time and thank all of you that supported us. If you need to reach Mike or myself just go to www.classicrockallstars.com  and you can link to Mike or me. Thanks again and maybe we'll see you sometime down the road..

Thank you for that Peter. And thank you for the music. I'm fortunate I was able to see The Classic Rock All Stars perform.

Hi Peter

What happened with Celebrate? Is this band still together? Those clips on You Tube were excellent.

To The CRAS,

I enjoyed your performances and later meeting the band members, Dennis included. I will keep Jerry and his loved ones in my prayers. I wish the best to all and look forward to happier times in the future.

God Bless,

Chicago Tommy

To Mike,

I would gladly crash that BBQ Cookout, no doubt I would attempt to take control of the BBQ or at least a portion of it.

Jerry Corbetta has Pike's Disease, which is a form of Altzheimer's, having to do with the frontal lobe.  He  is living in a facility in Denver, CO.

Hello Thomas: I was wondering who you are and how you found out that Jerry has  Pick's desease. I don't think we've met and I have never heard that diagnosis. I haven't heard much from anyone lately so maybe I'm missing something.. Thank you for posting

Just heard about Jerry's condition from Spencer Davis about 3 days ago.  I am sorry to hear about it.  I was just telling Spencer that I have been taking care of my mom who has dementia and that's when he told me.  Jerry was an important part of my son's early interest in music, as Jerry was his piano teacher early on.  I think I saw Jerry about 2-3 summers ago when he played (with the Classic Rock All Stars) in Woodland Hills and he was so happy to see us. I am not a religious person, but may God Bless Jerry.  I wish the best to the remaining members of the former Classic Rock All Stars.

Well Dave: I have 3 different versions of my show. There's the big Celebrate (8pc) with all the trimmings. I have 4 piece (Plugged) version that kicks. I also do (my favorite) 3 piece (Unplugged) version that we have a lot of fun with. It's kinda like a menu...  what ever you want....we got..... Of course it's all based around the hits I sang with RE. I do a couple of new songs as well as a couple revamped songs from early RE albums. Anyway, I love it all...and I'm having a great time with it..... Thanks  Peter

Jerry Corbetta + Kyle Corbetta

Yes, Jerry Corbetta is deteriorating quickly from Frontal Lobe disease.  He was honoured this summer by the Colorado Hall of fame, which has only one other inductee, John Denver.  Beautiful tribute to a talented, generous man.  We flew in from Manchester, UK, then drove from Newark, NJ, to attend.

Jerry's son, Kyle, 22, has had a lot of problems with the authorities, and is currently on probation.  Many of his legal problems are drug-related.

Please pray with me and my band for Jerry and Kyle?

I was a friend of Jerry's 30 plus years ago while he was playing with Frankie Valli.  Haven't spoken to him in ages.  I am very saddened to hear of his illness and would like to see him just to say hello.  I realize he may not recognize or remember me.  Would anyone know what facility he lives in in Denver, or how to contact his sister?  I would appreciate any info.  lmwultimt@aol.com Linda Wellendorf

Jerry Corbetta's Dementia Update
Permalink

Jerry Corbetta is now in a locked facility in Denver.  His dementia has progressed to the point where he can't be left alone because he wanders off, walking down train tracks, and in the middle of busy streets.

His sister, Barbara, has taken care of him from day one of his diagnosis.  She is shattered by recent developments.  Let's all pray for Jerry and his family.

Very sad to hear this. As for sisters, where would we be without them? I have four of them and the way they rally round in a crisis for family and loved ones is something to be seen.

I am a friend of Jerry's from college days and we remained in touch thru the years. After the passing of Dennis, we lost touch with each other. I knew that he moved back to Colorado but that's about as far as I've gotten in my search. If any of you have received any more current info on Jerry, let me know right away.

Hi Jerry was my neighbor in Roseville California where he lived. Due to some medial problems he ended up moving back to Colorado where he has some family.  I'm not sure how he is doing now. I need to call him.

I was in college with Jerry back in the late 60's and played a few jobs with him. Had only sporadic contact over the years as we went our separate paths--mine into healthcare, but always keeping a foot in the music world. Was proud to be his friend, and am so sorry to hear of his illness. Like I used to say to him, "We have to watch out of each other in the music world". Hope things go well for him and appreciate all the accolades of those who've shared on this blog.  ---Max Stanley Chartrand,  chartrandmax@aol.com if anyone wants to communicate

RE: Jerry Corbetta

Do you have any contact info for Jerry? He is in Denver living in a medical facility. I've never had his sister's contact number. If you have anyway of contacting him, I would sure love to reach him.

Thanks,

Don
