I wake up each morning at 2:50am to music instead of that damn alarm buzzing, so a couple of mornings ago I was fast asleep, when I was awoken by a tune that even in my half awake state of mind I knew,then I heard a voice sing " I WAS BORN TO WONDER", to which I said "morning Peter."
Hey Dave I saw on the news somebody bought Winston Churchill's false teeth at an auction, you didn't drink to many Thornbridge and buy them did you?
Yeah I saw that. Apparently his false teeth were specially made the wrong size so that he spoke with a lisp. They won't be sat in a glass in my house that's for sure
Went down to London for a couple of days earlier in the week. Both Fullers and Thornbridge had their own displays and a selection of their beers. Also there were some USA beers and many other countries. I couldn't find any moosehead unfortunately but I tried a couple of excellent American beers.
We didn't stay too long as one of our crowd had organised a trip around historic pubs in London. He does it every year and always finds some real gems. In one of the pubs a glass of beer flew off the table and violently smashed on the floor without anyone touching it. The beer was thrown across the table and ended up soaking one of the women. Somebody quickly appeared from behind the bar with a brush and pan to clean up the glass. the locals said it happens every now and then and they reckon it's the work of a ghost. Well it gave us something to talk about for the rest of the evening lol.
I failed to mention that it was the Great British Beer Festival that I visited in London where I saw the Thornbridge, Fullers etc, though maybe you guessed that.
Dave Good to hear you are still savouring the taste of a fine beer. I was in Halifax Nova Scotia on the weekend for a wedding and got to sample a few. Garrison's Irish Red, Bodeington ( I'm not sure of the spelling) Cream Ale,these were on tap at a pupb in the hotel, the round of three I bought was $23.23. I don't regret it they were fine tasting beer, as my brother said we haven't had beer together in a while. besides he bought the first round. Olands Export Ale, Olde Style Pilsner, Garrision Hop Yard Pale, I also sampled. Picked up a can of Fullers Porter, also Birra Moretti, Anchor Steam Beer,these I haven't tried yet, we were at a wedding so we drank what was at the bar,My brother dropped off four bottles of Wachusett products, Belgian Style White,California Style IPA,Blueberry,Country Ale.These I hope to try this weekend, and like a good beer brother I will keep you informed of the out come. catch ya later

I found another excellent brewery by the way. take a look at Meantime Brewery based in Greenwich, London. They do some seriously interesting beers. seriously expensive too mind you!

Dave I guess you got me on the BEER thing, getting to set in my ways.I took a quick look at Meantime, I know what you mean by some interesting beers.At first glance the prices I thought a little high. I didn't factor in the difference in the money between your country and mine, then I said F#@%!!!!! Well the lotto is $88 million tonight, if I win I'll buy the first round.No beer for me tonight I have to work, Molson Canadian Tournment this weekend, I'll be late getting in, have one for me. catch ya later.
No need to blame it on the exchange rate Al. No matter how you look at it, it's the most expensive bottled beer I've ever seen. i doubt it will become my regular tipple.
Mind you, the amount of glass they use to make the bottles I'm hardly surprised. The glass must be bulletproof!!
Dave Bullet proof beer bottles, hmmmm, I sort of like the idea, I had that bottle of Birra Moretti I bought in Halifax, well to be polite as us Canadians are said to be. IT SUCKED! I will never buy another.Now the Fulllers Porter was great, my sister who was visiting had a sip and liked it. Another busy weekend coming up, hoping the weather stays good I'm hoping to catch a open air concert on Friday night by The Playdates (formily known as 16th Ave), then Saturday night to St Stephen for a party where I'm pretty sure I'll a few adult beverges. catch ya later
