Just stumbled onto this post! Appreciate the kudos! I'm no longer haunted by the Hawks 1971 finals loss to the Canadians that broke my 10 year old heart. Hope the Leafs can get it together again. Sad that such a storied franchise can't be a more consistent winner.
Stuart I know what you mean with '71,every once in a while I remember 1993 and losing to the Kings with the help of ref Kerry Fraiser. That's the closest we came since '67, at least then we beat the Habs and their still mad about it! Anyway I hope your are right and the Leafs get it back together, then maybe we'll see you guys in the finals.

The Hawks are bumbling and stumbling a bit now. I just can't wait for the playoffs. It's hard to go through the regular season after all that excitement. Plus, we lost half the team to the salary cap!
Stuart My Leafs lost again 2-0 to the Rangers, they can't score.The playoffs are something I can't even remember the Leafs being in.As for the salary cap, it has changed how teams manage their money.Of course the Leafs couldn't win when there wasn't one.
