Hey Ralph Terrana, how do we thank the tomato?

This is off topic, but since everybody loves pizza, and most of us love food with tomato sauce (now don't lie...I know everybody loves it!). How do we actually thank the tomato? Without it life would be a much more drab place to live. Think about it! The reason I am picking on Mr. Terrana is because I know he is Italian, and he seems like a down to earth guy, and I would bet anything that he is a sauce lover like myself...I am just having fun here! Sundays, when we were kids, especially the Italians....our families had a tradition of serving spaghetti, meatballs, sausage and all of that wonderful stuff...everybody loves it though...no matter what your nationality...my quote is "a day without sauce is like a day without sunshine".    ----musto----   (I recently had linguini with Tuna fish sauce..another great red sauce dish!!!!)

Anthony,
From one Italian to another, the tomato rules. Part of the family of the deadly Nightshade, it took a while to finally catch on. Once people were convinced it was safe to eat, it changed Mediterranian cuisine to the delight of the world.

Yeah, Sunday family dinners always included something that included tomato sauce. My mother's sauce was outstanding, and she included it in a variety of dishes.
Great memories.

Can't say as I blame you. Mike, but German knackwurst, Dutch chocalate or Belgian waffles are pretty big in my book.
