And, to celebrate the Yuletide Season, a trilogy of vignettes from Charles M. Schulz's classic "PEANUTS" animated telly specials...as directed by The Much Regretted Bill Melendez
Me can hardly wait...I'm making my great grandmothers old Belgian recipe of Fritters, which she brought over from Belguim in the 1920's. There's no telling how old that recipe is. They're kind of like little pancakes but a little sweeter. And rope sausage to go with it...a very mild flavored suasage, unlike what you find in a store. Maybe I'll whip up some apple strudel as well. For years my grandmother made this but when she passed away in 1999 the tradition ended. I started it again last year and it was a hit with the family. Last year on my dad's side of the family it was all that stuff plus a tray of assorted nuts, a plate of fresh fruit, ham, pancakes for my wife who did not care for the fritters plus other goodies. Yummy stuff...that was for breakfast.
