I know what everyone is thinking, who was Joel Avenue? His was the lead guitar player for 16th Avenue, a rock band from Saint John N.B. Canada. I saw them for the first time back in 2006.It turned out my wife use to work with Adam one of the band members,so of course I bought their cd- In IT To Win It.In early November they had just returned from recording tracks for their new album so what happened next is hard to understand. The best I can do is use the the bands own words "Joel decided to leave this Earth". What would make a young man of 23 take his own life I can not imagine, I have heard stories but I would never pass on rumours,we have enough problems with crap like that on TV everyday. The band is going to continue,which shows they have got what it takes.All I can do is listen to their music and hope the band will again play a gig where we can hear the old and new tunes and remember a fine musician who left this world much to soon.
