Do not forget that until the late 1960's, Atlantic was knwon for their fantastic roster of Jazz, R&B and Soul artists. It wasn't until bands like Buffalo Springfield, Cream, Vanilla Fudge, Catus and Led Zeppelin came along that Atlantic and sister label Atco branched out into the area of rock and roll.
