I just want to say I didn't mean to get anyone going when I said that the Rare Earth without Pete wasn't "very good". I will be the first person to say that I respect the fact that these guys are out there doing this stuff at all after all these years. I most definitely don't have that kind of energy! If they can do this, they are to be commended. When I am Pete's age I will be lucky if I am able to get out of bed in the morning judging by the way I feel and I am not even 50 yet!!!! Like I heard someone say...The Rolling Stones "Steel Wheelchairs Tour"!!!! Just kidding, but these guys are away from their families a lot of times for weeks and months on end...and I am sure it gets lonely, especially when you are older. So let's show these guys the respect they deserve, right? Cool! Everybody has to earn a living some way, and these times are economically trying to say the least. I mean it costs close to $20.00 for a decent pizza these days. Back in the old days pizza was 10 cents a cut!!! Man, I can't even afford to pay attention these days!!!! Stay cool everyone!!!!!!!! tony
I just wanted to say that I've been reading the posts about me not being in the current Rare Earth and it has a strange feel to it. I am very proud to have been the original voice. I will admit that it feels good to hear that many many people acknowledge my work with the band. I also don't want to be responsible for any bad feelings that might be felt from the current band when they read these posts. I'm sure they are proud of what they do and they probably don't appreciate being referred to as something less because I'm not around. I know that if the shoe was on the other foot, I wouldn't be too happy. I realize that these are well meaning fans and their feelings toward me are genuinely appreciated. Please, there's room for everyone in this world, and thank you again for your posts. Peter
They needed each other;Just listen to the BACK TO EARTH & HUB albums;Couple of good songs,but it was like ABBOTTw/o COSTELLO,about as funny;
Interesting. But there are more than a couple of good songs on those albums in my opinion. My 6 year old son loves the song "Down To Acapulco". He started singing that in the car one day when my family and went to a local mexican restaurant named "Acapulco" for dinner. My wife laughed and thought he made it up. I told her "no, that's a song in my collection".
"I went down to Acapulco and had some tacos...". Kids say the darnedest things
Food is mentioned and then Ralph mentions BM or BEE EMM. I suggested "Big Mac" last time and Peter said I'm way off the mark. The curiosity is killing me but I know you're not going to tell :)
