Not forgetting......Rod Richards

Much as I like Rod's early work with Rare Earth I have to say that his blues comeback didn't hold too much appeal to me. His last CD was a step in the right direction and now he has a new one called "Chemical Interaction". On listening to the clips I'm finding this release quite appealing. I can't recall Rod's voice being quite as harsh as this but I suppose it fits the style of the songs. Never mind the voice, listen to the guitar!

Controversial comment from Rod on his website concerning one of the Motown Rare Earth CD releases. It's a Hits and Rare Classics CD and Rod was not happy at the inclusion of Warm Ride and would have favoured the inclusion of Tobacco Road. An interesting thought, though I have to say Warm Ride has grown on me over the years. Took a long time though.

As it's a greatest Hits package then Warm Ride must be included it reached a decent chart position.

Yes, we can't forget Rod....Rockin' Rod. Good idea for a thread Dave.

His work on Dreams Answers, Get Ready, Generation soundtrack and Ecology are great. Oh, the Road LP as well.

I need to check out Rod's new stuff. I was going to but got sidetracked.
