Ray , you really blew me away in Kansas City,at the ONE BLOCK WEST CONCERT, i know it was a small little shack, that you and the guy's played in, but man,you guy's have rocked my world for years ,I have alot of your albums in VINYL, i have been offered alot for them but the past is not for sale, i just want to tell you as i told you in the LATE 80's you're a hell of a guitarist, i love the way you put the cigarette in the neck of your guitar, you gave me the pick you did the concert with,i still have it, i have played for years aspiring to even get close to your style.I haven't followed your career, like some have ,but i know when you pick up your AXE you mean business, im gonna stop and say that your chords and riffs are off the map, most people in this world never get the recognition they deserve, but just between me and you ,you sir, are right up there with STEVIE RAY VAUGHN AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED, I DON'T KNOW IF YOU EVER GOT YOUR OWN BAND, BUT IF YOU DID, YOU'D KICK ASS, I'M GETTN OLD{58] AND IF IT WASN'T FOR RARE EARTH LIFE WOULD'VE BEEN EXTREMELY BORING, THANKS TO YOU RAY AND THE BOY'S IT'S BEEN ROCK ON!!!! A VERY DEVOTED FAN, KEEP IT TUNED MAN--GOD BLESS, GARY--- BY THE WAY I WAS IN THE FRONT ROW IN AWE!!!!!!!
Gary, You said it all!For many years I`m saying Ray is the most underrated guitarist of all time, but the only good thing about it is that we can see him in close up and after/before the show.He is allways generous and friendly with Rare Earth fans. I had a privllage to talk to The Man few months ago before the show in Windsor. Thanks Ray!
