RIP DONALD "EAN" EVANS LYNYRD SKYNYRD BASSIST

Columbia Miss.  Bassist Donald "Ean" Evans of the southern rock band LYNYRD SKYNYRD has died of cancer at his home in Mississippi he was 48. cry I cannot believe the things this band has gone through over the years, they sure are a strong group of people.   AL

Hot on the heels of Billy Powell (?) the keyboard player dying earlier this year, wow, you're dead right that this band has been through a lot.

Co-incidentally this time last week I was at a Skinny Molly gig in our city. They are led by Mike Estes who was briefly one of their lead guitarists.

Whoops, regarding my comment "you're dead right that this band has been through a lot", that was a bad choice of phrase and accidental. Just want to make it clear I wasn't trying to be distasteful.

Skynyrd are, and always have been,  a band I like a lot.
