This show was at Biddy Mulligans, a bar in Evanston, IL, just outside of Chicago. A fantastic show with a really great crowd. The atmosphere was gritty and bluesy. As I was pulling up to the bar in my car, I spotted Gil driving the RE van. The guys were just pulling in to the rear of the bar with their equipment, etc. I talked with Bird for a few minutes and he told me about the Live in Switzerland album, which I had no idea about at the time. He wrote down the info about the album and it just so happened I was in Switzerland the following year, visiting a friend, where I picked it up. It seemed at that time, everybody I talked to in Switzerland and Austria had heard of RE. Sadly, this was the last time I saw Eddie perform.
