I Wish It Would Rain & I Could Never Love Another (After Loving You) sung By The Temptations. Both songs were written about what?! Really, it's a shame what happened. cry At the same time, if someone can channell their life into art, kudos to that person.

Incidentally, these are 2 of David Ruffin's best lead vocals imo...especially "Rain".

Ralph Terrana, Mike Valvano and Russ Terrana. Because the three of us were Italians, Motown wanted us to use the name "The Brotherhood" for our productions, but we opted to stick with Terrana Valvano Terrana.

Hi Mark,
The second book is coming along well. I'm not hammering on it every day like I did the first book but I intend for it to be better. I actually got a ways into it and didn't like what was coming out, so I started from scratch some time back. Now I'm happy with it. Here's hoping. I hope to finish it this Fall sometime.

Good to hear Ralph. So this year when I get asked "What do you want for Christmas?" I might actually have an answer this year.

Are you writing or playing at the moment Ralph? How about Russ, is he still engineering and mixing?

As of now, just writing, Dave. I am in the process of putting the studio together in the new house Jesse and I recently moved into. Russ is coming to town this weekend to help me and I hope to have it up and running at that time. I've got a couple of things I want to record and one of the songs I will be doing will be co-produced by George McGregor who lives outside of Nashville. I'm looking forward to this. I've known George since the Detroit days and it will be interesting to work with him. I'll keep you posted if anything good comes of any of this.
Russ has been busy producing commercials for Comcast but looks forward to going into the studio with me.

I've only ever heard Pete's voice on Big John.

The verse of:

Played my music in every honky tonk joint from maine to mexico
soulful folks ain't got no shoes ....smellin like all out doors....

To me, that's alwasy sounded like Peter, but with some twang to his vocal. It surely doesn't like Gil, Mark or Mike.

A small side note...the verification code for this post was REAFA. What could stand for? Rare Earth are ****ing awesome! biggrin Ok, back to Motown stuff.
