Looking at Thomas' pictures got me thinking about those times. I believe I've mentioned here before that I interviewed Gil and Mark in the spring of 1984 when I was working for a small radio station in the Chicago area. I caught up with Gil in 1990 and gave him a copy and I gave Pete a copy a couple of summers ago when the CRA rolled into town.
Mike, would you be interested in transferring the cassettes to CD and getting copies to anyone on the forum who is interested? I believe I have about 45 minutes or so of raw interview and an editied version with songs in the mix.
Perhaps I should ask Pete and Gil for their permisson first as I don't want to bring out any hard feelings. Nobody says anything out of line in the interview although, understandably, Gil tries to steer the conversation away from the subject of Pete, which of course was understandable at the time.
So I respectfully ask Gil and Pete if they are comfortable with this and of course Mike if he would like to do this transfer?
Its a real shame that JP, Mark and Eddie are no longer here. I wonder if they'd have participated on this forum? I always enjoyed Mark's playing and would have loved to have conversed with him. That makes the prospect of hearing this interview so interesting to me.
