Very sad to report that Al from Canada, who many will remember as a regular poster on the forum, passed away today after a short illness. Condolences to his family and friends.
I got to know him quite well outside of the forum and he was a great guy. He loved his music, especially Rare Earth, and he loved his family. He fell ill about 18 months ago and put up a brave fight right to the end. Typical of Al, his only moan during treatment was the fact that he was unable to enjoy any "adult beverage". He liked an occasional beer. I think the only thing that got him down was snow...usually because it was his job to clear it :) R.I.P. Al from Chicago.
