Maybe PETERs letter worked......@ the MOTWM Museam site.....RE is a featured group on the MOTOWN SOUND section,2 little but not 2 late.Hopefully 2014 brings us good news,know that 2013 was not the greatest year in PETEs life,personaaly it really sucked.(4 me)Also 4 GIL,RE only put out 8 shows last year.Still,like RALTH T,wish that GIL would look @ some options.Nothing to do w/ money....................PETEs letter shock up some non-RE fans also.
Great news indeed!!! But I'm gonna have to see to believe it. Save the digital file, and I don't want to be a doubter, but perhaps combine a road trip for my first time visiting the Motown Museum and schedule it around a Rare Earth show....
Nice to see Rare Earth on the Motown Museum website, although I'm sure any of us that visits this site could have written better notes that better represented the talents and achievements of the band. Just as we see with record sleeves on hit compilations, the idea is there but not enough effort or research has been put into the finer details. I think it's known as lazy journalism. Still, I suppose it's a progression from no mention at all.
Re looking at options, let's not raise this one again, nor jump to conclusions over the amount of concerts played in a year. There could be reasons for that, e.g. through choice, health reasons, or studio commitments. What will be will be.
I'm quite excited about Peter's latest material, which proves that he is still a creative force and his voice is as good as ever. Maybe we should be looking forward rather than looking back.
Good comments,em PETE regardin the aforementioned.W/RE,there is a lot of lookin back...........but some ideas....should be addressed.GIL has done an incredible job keepin RE intact...only wish he would come to the table,listen to an idea or 2.Think RALPH T.....was workin on something.
If you're thinking of taking up a career as a Marriage Guidance Councillor Rich, or a role as the next Henry Kissinger, I wouldn't give up the day job just yet if I were you ;)) Still, full marks for persistence. I seem to recall that those of us who respect the people involved agreed to keep our noses out.
