MyMom has the 1975 album HUBself titled, she bought in Cali while working at a music store. She LOVES it & is trying to find iton CD or in iTunes to be able to listen to it more often.
Cananyone help me locate it on either? Imdesperately trying to help her as shedoesn't ask for much but as an LP I can't get it to play in her vehicle :)
Im really trying NOT to buy the vinyl crossover techy thing :) TY
Barney Ales gave us the budget for 2 albums..(HUB) and then he left Motown. He gave our project to Al Corey at Capitol who left just after we started the second album. The new guy called me in and said that he never liked RE and he was going to release the albums only to fulfil contracts. Never got any promo. Life's like that sometimes huh? Anyway, Lord was one of my favorites. We had gotten the album to a point where we were ready to do the vocals when Tom Baird was killed in a boating accident. 3 days later I had to go in and sing the leads on the album.. talk about tough going. Tom probably would have "tweeked" me up an little more.. Life goes on..Miss you Tom.

Thank you for sharing that Peter.
I will say that you did a bang up job on A Dream For The Longest Night...Tom originally sang that on the Matrix album. And the cover of Randy Newman's Sail Away...a fresh cover of a great song.
No smoke Without A fire Would have made a great Rare Earth record. Anyone Who Had A Heart, lovely. Thanks so much Pete for being involved in this site.......top man!
