Ex Motown chanteur Teena Marie has passed away at 54 years old.
No disrespect to Teena, but yet another national Newspaper, the (UK) Daily Mirror, gets it wrong again with the following opening statement:
Teena Marie, who made history as Motown's first white act has died.
No mention of Chris Clark, Kiki Dee, R Dean Taylor or that 6 piece blue eyed soul band who's name escapes me. Ooh, now what were they called? Was it Earth, Wind and Fire or Rare Bird? Something like that anyway.

A 6 piece blue eyed soul band eh? What a concept. Writers should do research before writing. Teena wasn't even the first white female on Motown.
