an idea for Peter Rivera

Hear me out! I know I am nuts, but this might not be such a bad idea! I have been thinking for a while that if some enterprising recording company wanted to try to bring back the powerful sound and magic of the 70s (hey, retro stuff is VERY profitable today....and more importantly there is war and rumours of war surrounding us every day in the news, so it is a current event topic...an important element in selling the idea to a recording company),..OK..MY IDEA IS THIS: in my opinion Peter Rivera would bring the walls down doing a cover version of "WAR" by Edwin Starr, backed perhaps by a horn section such as The Tower of Power Horns if they still exist, or some other horn section. Rivera is the only singer still alive today who could do the song justice...but naturally they would need to PROMOTE it, or they shouldn't even waste their time. The reason I picked that song is the powerful vocal track, and I feel Pete Rivera would breath new life into the song, resurrecting it after so many years to me is interesting......think about it...it just might fly. Bruce Springsteen did a cover of it years ago and made a ton of money from it...Pete Rivera singing it would put Bruce's version to shame. BUT, it needs PROMOTION..on a grand scale in order to work!!!
