And for those of you True Believers that knoweth not of his connections to The Hitsville Empire, the artiste who was born Milton Supmann...*did* put out an LP on Motown in 1969, entitled "A Bag Of Soup" (MOTOWN MS-686). Hilarious end-up of "Macarthjur Park" here, called "Muck-Arty PArk"...and I think Tom Baird also had a hand in the creation of this hilarious platter.
Rich, When we were about twelve years of age, we (the Glo-Worms) did our first show with Soupy. It was a Christmas show at Detroit's Northern High School. We would work with him two or three more times over the next couple of years. He was a blast to work with. Very up-beat and funny.
It was sad to hear of Soupy's passing. He gave me many an entertaining moment in my youth. I love him, followed by Rocky & Bulwinkle, oh so many years ago.
