Man I remember that show it was the largest, wildest show I had ever attended and the first time I had ever been in an environment that was so overcrowded that any sudden turbulence within the crowd caused a very dangerous ripple effect. During one of those swells I happened to be at the front near the stage and if I hadn't been able to jump underneath the stage I and my companions could very well have been crushed and seriously injured by the reaction of the crowd. It was wild. Pregnant women were rescued and other unfortunate attendees had to be removed from the immediate area. Then at some point a wild fool climbed on the stage and was being threatened or at least encouraged to leave by stage security and he took the opportunity to dive off into the crowd, thus creating one of the potentially deadly swells in the crowd, it was truly wilder than ****. Plenty of good herb and I think mescaline in circulation too, man what a memory!!!! I have recounted some of the details of that event on many occasions but mistakenly suggested the concert was on Rikers Island instead of Randall's Island and folks have informed me, as I now know, there is little fun to be had on Rikers Island. Even though all of the acts didn't actually take the stage those that performed made the show unforgettable.
