July 1st , today is CANADA DAY our national holiday. A day for BBQ with family and friends if mother nature will cooperate. At this time it is raining in Grand Bay, hold on it stopped! Take that weather network. So all my RARE EARTH WORLD friends if you happen to be lifting a glass of your favorite drink, be it BEER ( we love are our beer) pop ( that is soda to all my US friends) juice ,milk, water, toast us on our birthday. At a 132 years the old gal doesn't look so bad.
Happy Canada Day Al. I will raise a glass to you tonight. It might not be a Fullers but if I can't find any I'll make sure its something equally quaffable!!!
Thank you one and all , we had a great day the rain held off. Went to the local celebration, here in Grand Bay it is held at a park on the shores of the Saint John River. Hot dogs, ice cream, maple leaf flag cake, fun was had by young and old. Entertainment for the little kids, with face painting, and singing. For us much older set there was an antique auto show. I finally got to see my brother in law's '71 Chrysler 300. There was a Ford pick up and a Plymouth sedan from the '20s, '62 Chevy, '58 Pontiac, a late '60s Mustang, late '70s Z28, and a couple more I can't remember. Hope to do it again next year. At home we toasted the day with a cold adult beverage and pizza. ( yes it was Moosehead Pale Ale for me and Moosehead Dry for my wife) Oh yea , no Dave I didn't get my face painted.
Well folks another year has passed and in a little over 6 hours it will be Canada's 143rd birthday.Unfortunately I have to work at 4am, but I hope to take in some of the local events after I get off.So to all Rare Earth fans HAPPY CANADA DAY!
Dave Thanks, we had a good Canada day a bit of rain, nothing we couldn't handle with a cold adult beverage and an umbrella.Drink that beer soon, four years is to long to wait.
