This show was at the Park West in the heart of Chicago in July, 1990. It was a great show at a great venue. There were probably 500-750 people there. It was hard for me to get close like I usually do, but in a way it made the show more special as this was a few steps above seeing RE at a bar. It was also a more broad audience. The show was part of a summer series at the Park West call the Psychedelic Psummer Pseries (the P's are silent!). It was truely a great show and the boys did a great cover of Ain't Too Proud to Beg, along with the usual stuff.
You sure can tell that it was 1990. The mullets Hey, I have no room to talk. Imagine me as being 15/16...180 lbs, 6'1, blue jeans, flannel shirt (winter) and work boots. If warmer...blue jeans, t-shirt (usually tie-dyed and music related, probably Hendrix or The Doors) my old chuck taylor shoes. I was into the blue collar/grunge thing. I miss these babies:
Thanks Mike. Those kicks take me back. I had a pair like that in the late 80's when I was doing my retro '60's thing. Mine were white, covered with red, white and blue peace signs.
