All, I hope that everyone is keeping tabs on the Allen Pamplin California Jam website. He has put Rare Earth back up, along with many of the other performers. He has added them in the order of appearance.
He has just added another video, interviews by Don Imus, with people, like the cook, the "Bummer Squad", Don Branker, and so on, and, once again, Rare Earth is featured in the video featuring a slow motion clip, showing Mike, Gil and Pete, as they are highlighting the event, at the close.
I'd sure like to hear Pete and Ray tell us what it was like performing in front of 200,000 or more, people, on what looks like a beautiful Saturday morning, in California. It must have been an honor to be part of such an enormous event!
During Alan's Celebrate video I noticed "Stereo Broadcast on WPLJ 95.5 FM" flashed across the screen. Radio station WPLJ FM was owned by ABC and located here in the NY City metropolitan area.
Back in the 1970's WPLJ was the station all of us here in New York would tune into to listen to the FM simulcast portion of ABC's In Concert show. Thanks for the memories Alan.
