Attention, please, Gil Bridges--please help us out?

 Dear Gil,

    I know that you do not frequent this forum on a regular basis, but, I wanted to ask a favor of you, on behalf of some of the other posters here, regarding your song "Someone to Love".

 Would you please provide us with the lyrics to this song?  There are some words within it that none of us can decipher, and it would be deeply, deeply appreciated, if you could do this one favor for us, please?

I WAS HOPING THAT GIL WOULD HAVE RESPONDED...THEN I THOUGHT...MAYBE THAT 37 YEAR OLD SONG IS HARD TO REMEMBER.I DON'T THINK R.E. EVEN PLAYED THE SONG LIVE...I AM SURE GIL HAS IT SOMEWHERE IN HIS ARCHIVES AND I AM SURE HE HAS A LOT OF SONGS THAT HE WROTE TO GO THROUGH...SOMEONE TO LOVE IS A GOOD SONG BUT IT IS THAT VERSE BEFORE HE SINGS HANG ON JIVE THAT HAS GOT A FEW OF US PUZZLED...SO WHEN YOU HAVE TIME MR.BRIDGES PLEASE HELP US OUT...

   Thanks very much. I don't consider your reply "slow" at all, so, please do not be sorry.   I was expecting it to take much longer, as I know how busy people are these days.

Hi Steve and Mark,

Your right, im not sure of a few words because it's been so long since ive listened to the song.
I thought i had it on CD but i dont so i have to find my turntable to listen to it again.
It might take a few days but i promise ill get them.
I'm very impressed that you guys care and want to know.

THANKS GIL!!! I HAVE WAITED 37 YEARS TO SEE THOSE WORDS!!LOL!!
I LIKE THE NEW ALBUM AS WELL! NICE COVER ON PAPA...THE BALLARD TUNES ARE GOOD TOO!! I AM GOING TO TRY TO CATCH YOU GUYS WHEN ARE IN DETRIOT OVER THE SUMMER..TILL THEN...ROCK ON!

 Dear Mr. Bridges,

 Thanks ever so much for going to so much toruble to get the lyrics for us.
This is very generous and kind of you.

 Here was the line that was throwing everyone off:

 " Hang on love's fast ride hang on tight"

 When someone sent me that line, via email, and offered their impression of it, I pointed out that there were "S" letters within in the line the he was leaving out. It turns out that the words are  "love(s)" and the word" fa(s)t" which run together, that I could hear the letters "S" in.  This clears it all up, and I can't thank you enough!
