Ralph,

I know you've said your brother Russ recorded the Chicago gig(s) for the unreleased album. Might it be possible to ask him about his recollection of the shows, recording, mixing, etc...I ask because I'm getting pumped up that I may have actually located a copy from someone.

Mike,
I will; ask him but I'm sure he will have nothing significant to offer regarding the actual date. What he will recall is landing in icey Chicago with, what he thought would be adequate after living in California for a couple of years, a fleece lined Levi jacket. He recalls looking out the airplane's windows at the blowing snow on the runway and thinking that it must be rather cold but the jacket should be enough. Walking out of the plane through the jetway, a small seam was allowing a steady blast of fridgid air. When Russ walked into it his first thought was " What the hell was that?? ". After retrieving his luggage he had to walk across an icey, windblown overpass to get to his hotel. He told me it was one of the longest, most difficult walks of his life.
