CRAIG, MOST ALL THE MASTERING WAS DONE BY RUSS TERRANA,RALPH'S BROTHER.OF COURSE THE RECORDING IS JUST AS IMPORTANT.IT COULD ALSO HAVE TO DO WITH THE FACT THAT IT WAS A LATER ALBUM(IN L.A.),AND THE TECHNOLOGY HAD ADVANCED.

I'd buy that. Also, Tom Baird's production played a role I'm sure. That's still my fave RE album to this day.
Believe it or not here in the northeast Rare Earth T-Shirts were hard to come by in the early to mid 70's. Couldn't find them in the stores so the only place to buy a tee was at the gig but they were expensive. About three bucks inside-or two bucks outside from the hawkers on the street.
Add in the price of your concert ticket.($5.00) Subway and bus fare to and from the city.($1.00) Soda and hot dog.($1.50) An optional mood enlightener and you almost had a ten dollar night. A T-shirt from the gig was just extra icing on the cake. Jocko D (Mike, BTW What size tee you wear?)

That's far cheaper than what a show costs now. Inflation
Mike, I was hoping you were going to say size medium. I have an extra RE t-shirt in that size. Bought it at a gig many years ago for a girl I was dating but it was too small on her. Inside the WR LP is the original RE iron on logo. Go ahead and use it to make yourself a RE t-shirt. Jocko D

Hi Jocko,
I wish I was a medium...at my height (6'2) I'd be a stringbean though
Jocko, that's way too much man. What did I do to deserve that?
I've wanted to make a RE t-shirt for a long time now...could never find a big enough logo for the design.
The "Rarearth" (1977 LP) front cover design was available commercially as an iron-on in T-shirt stores, right after the album came out. It was a cool-looking design. I didn't buy it the one time I saw it in 1979, and I've regretted it ever since. And I've never seen it since! I still have plans to scan the album cover and make my own iron on.
